Lead the Way as Head of Maintenance at a Hotel in Layton! Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a dedicated Head of Maintenance to join our team in Layton, UT. If you have at least one year of general repair experience and enjoy creating a welcoming and safe environment for guests and team members, this could be the perfect role for you! Join us and play a key role in ensuring our property remains a place people love to stay. What You'll Do As the Head of Maintenance, you'll be the go-to expert for all things repair and upkeep.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work Objectives Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and carpet/floor cleaning. Handling minor HVAC adjustments and repairs, including PTAC air conditioning units. Repairing or replacing room furniture, fixtures, and equipment like TVs and light fixtures. Organizing and executing a Preventative Maintenance Program to keep everything in top shape. Maintaining the hotel's exterior areas, including the swimming pool, parking lot, and overall curb appeal. Securing tools, equipment, and supplies to protect company assets. Reporting major repair needs and assisting the General Manager with capital project planning. Guest Satisfaction Responding promptly to guest repair requests with a smile and a positive attitude. Announcing your presence and following company procedures when entering guest rooms. Interacting courteously with guests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction. Teamwork Supporting other team members with tasks like delivering linens or assisting with housekeeping and laundry as needed. Being flexible with your schedule to meet the needs of the hotel. Safety and Security Following all safety and security policies, including OSHA, Haz-Com, and Blood Borne Pathogen regulations. Ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to company standards. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you'll need:Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience :
At least one year of general repair experience preferred.Skills :
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and general repair.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure. Physical Demands This role requires physical stamina and dexterity, including:
- Standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, and reaching as needed.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
- Using tools requiring fine and firm grasping.
