This is a working leadership role. The Service Lane Manager will manage their own customers and repair orders while ensuring that other advisors follow company policies, procedures, pricing guidelines, and customer-service standards. The manager will lead by example, coach the team, and hold advisors accountable for performance and compliance. Key Responsibilities Continue to write service, manage customers, and oversee repair orders. Supervise, coach, and hold Service Advisors accountable for performance and productivity. Ensure advisors follow company policies, procedures, pricing, estimating, and customer-service standards. Review repair orders and estimates for accuracy and compliance. Assist advisors with difficult customers, complex repairs, and estimates. Monitor service workflow, appointments, and repair-order progress. Recommend maintenance and repairs while maintaining a customer-first approach. Help ensure consistent communication and service practices across the entire team. Address performance or policy issues and communicate concerns to management. Lead by example and maintain a professional, productive service environment. Qualifications Experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Service Manager. Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. Experience with automotive estimating and service-management software. Strong customer-service, communication, and sales skills. Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage both personal service-writing responsibilities and leadership duties. Dealership experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. This position is ideal for an experienced Service Advisor who is ready to take on a leadership role while remaining active in the service lane.
