A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

As an Equipment Maintenance Planner, you'll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving equipment reliability by focusing on work preparation and scheduling, maintenance procedure development, technical innovation, and technical training of the equipment maintenance staff. Your work will have purpose every single day, contributing directly to life-changing outcomes.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling- Plan and coordinate all equipment maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, overhaul, calibration, inspection). Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules. Coordinate work across maintenance staff and production/manufacturing. Technical Expertise & Equipment Optimization
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in equipment maintenance, inspection, and calibration. Identify and implement new technologies, methods, and best practices. Perform equipment installation, qualification, and post-repair validation. Create and maintain associated technical documentation. Equipment Reliability & Process Improvement
- Develop, define, and improve equipment reliability systems and procedures. Partner with engineering, facilities, and operations to drive continuous improvement. Support root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions. Training, Compliance & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and deliver technical training programs. Audit staff performance and adherence to procedures. Track and report KPIs related to maintenance performance and reliability. Materials & Inventory Management
- Order, kit, and stage maintenance materials and parts.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma Five (5) years related industry experience in maintenance planning, skilled trades, machining, inspection or industrial maintenanceDriver's License Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
Associate's degree or completed vocational training in Engineering Technology, technical trade program or equivalent Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent Ten (10) years related industry experience in maintenance planning, skilled trades, machining, inspection, or industrial maintenanceKey Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Working knowledge and ability: To perform routine tasks, demonstrate specialized technical and basic skills Interpret and write technical documents Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications. Demonstrated ability to edit and create sketches, work instructions and procedures using Microsoft office products Solidworks and AutoCAD software CAM / Master CAM Ability to use software to create and edit models and drawingsCommunication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, building relationships with all professionals at different levels within the organization. Ability to select appropriate medium and communicate with end users, engineers, managers, scientific staff, and external contractors. Knowledge in one or more of the following: dimensional inspection; gauge calibration; maintenance planning and asset management; tool design; machining; welding & fabrication; CNC programming; CNC machine maintenance; package sealing equipment and tooling maintenance; PLC systems; CMM programming; mechatronics; low voltage controls; pneumatics.Time Management:
Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls.Attention to detail:
Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure high degree of accuracy/completeness and early/on-time delivery. Proficient inMicrosoft Office:
