Job Description
Summary/objective The Assistant Installation Manager is a leadership position in the Operations department of Renewal by Andersen of Vermont. This individual is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of our installation processes from start to finish. They are responsible for the management, training, and performance evaluation of our installation teams. Essential functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Manage 3 to 6 Installation Crews, and Installation Apprentices. This includes ensuring all crews are properly trained in our installation processes, customer experience expectations and technology applications. Actively recruit, hire, and train new lead installers and installation apprentices. Complete regular site visits to ensure our installation quality is consistent with company standards and creates an exceptional homeowner experience. Work alongside the warehouse and project management teams to ensure maximum efficiency in scheduling crews and installations. Take calls from Install Crews to help solve installation challenges. Make visits to jobs to investigate homeowner dissatisfaction and create plans for correction. Hold regular installation meetings with Install Crew and team members to address any business changes or installation challenges. Supervisory responsibilities Ability to self-manage Ability to manage 3 to 6 Install teams of 2 to 4 employees per team. Work environment Fast paced window and door installation office and in field environment Collaborative team environment with clear goals and expectations that encourages sharing ideas and innovation Physical demands Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding Comfortable with heights Ability to work in all-weather environments including in an office as well as outside through 4 seasons Travel required Travelling is required throughout the entire market area. Company vehicle is provided for job site visits.
