Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Lead Plant Maintenance Mechanic to support reliable, safe operation of our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead maintenance activities on crushers, conveyors, mills, and supporting systems, performing preventive, predictive, and corrective work. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, coordinate work orders, and mentor a small team of mechanics. In our safety-focused, collaborative culture, you will help drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, support root cause analysis, and contribute to sustainable, high-performance plant operations. Responsibilities Lead and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures to minimize downtime Coordinate, mentor, and train maintenance technicians on safe, best-practice repair methods Plan and prioritize maintenance work orders and shutdown activities with operations Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to execute repairs and upgrades Ensure strict compliance with safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS and support root cause analysis Collaborate with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability and performance Required Skills Industrial mechanical maintenance Preventive and predictive maintenance Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Welding and fabrication Blueprints and schematics reading CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) Root cause failure analysis Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety Rigging and equipment alignment
