56/hour] Depending on driver's license, water operator's license, and years of experience.
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent GED, plus five (5) years experience in Water & Sewer. Must have a valid State of Maine Class B commercial driver's license, with Tanker endorsement, and experience operating heavy equipment. Must be able to obtain a Maine Water Operator license, Class 2.
WORK ACTIVITIES
A lot of walking is involved. Ability to operate and understand reading system and online software is required. Daily reading of customer meters using hand-held device and computer on a weekly schedule. Reports to Water & Sewer supervisors and business office for assignments. Final reads are a priority and may come in at any time. When not reading meters, priority work is troubleshooting and fixing reading problems within the reading system. May be assigned to work with Water & Sewer crews. Able to follow oral and written instruction and perform other duties as assigned.
