As a growing provider of meter and network installation services , Allegiant Utility Services is expanding in Tennessee and seeking motivated individuals to join our field operations team. Position Summary The Meter Technician is responsible for diagnosing, installing, repairing, and troubleshooting water meter services while traveling throughout the Winchester, Tennessee service area . This role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced field environment. Essential Functions Diagnose, install, repair, and troubleshoot water meter services Drive extensively throughout the Winchester, Tennessee metro area to assigned customer sites Meet strict daily deadlines for completing installation and repair routes Complete all assigned routes accurately and efficiently Work in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, and humidity Safely handle encounters with animals or wildlife in the field Follow all safety and operational procedures per company and client policies Provide professional and courteous customer communication Maintain accurate digital documentation of completed work Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day Ability to carry up to 20 pounds of equipment Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using handheld devices, computers, and digital technology Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field Required Education and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age Valid, unexpired driver's license required High School Diploma or GED required Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Ability to walk 5+ miles per day and work outdoors in all weather conditions Prior water, meter, utility, cable, or field technician experience preferred but not required Position Type / Expected Hours Full-time position Daytime hours; schedule may vary based on route needs Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business demand Worker Rights Under the Davis-Bacon Act https://beta.dol.gov/system/files/2026-02/whd-davis-bacon-government-construction-poster.
