Job Description
Eaton's
IS AER FMC
division is currently seeking a CNC Machinery Mechanic B- 1st Shift at our Los Angeles, CA plant (Near Glendale Metro). Core 1st shift hours for this role are 5:30am
- 2pm Monday
- Friday.
In this function you will:
- Troubleshooting and repairs to plant machines, facility infrastructure and related equipment.
- Collaborate with operators to observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions and replace defective parts.
- Perform test-runs on repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Support installation of new and/or used manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Forklift and scissor lift operation.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
- Minimum of one year of CNC repair/ maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
- Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
- This position requires access to export-controlled information.
Preferred:
- Four (4) years or more of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade preferred
- Background in machining and electrical equipment
- Experience with hydraulic systems ##
Position Criteria:
- Basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming
- Basic understanding and ability to read electrical/mechanical blueprints, schematics, manuals and procedures
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of municipal electrical code applicable to installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Experience repairing machine shop equipment including CNC machines.
- Must adhere to and support Eaton's Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision, and be self-motivated.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in both hot and cold weather.
- Ability to read and write English proficiently.
