Job Description

Electric Motor Mechanic / Foreman Wabash Valley Motor and Machine has been in business for over 25 years, serving customers throughout Indiana and Illinois. We serve customers in many different industries from healthcare, production plants, quarries to the power generation industry, and more.

•Our company offers a matching Simple IRA, Health, Dental Insurance, and Paid Time Off. This position and the necessary skills can be taught to the right person with a driven mindset. Prior experience in a mechanical field is required. This position is for a working foreman to provide on-site direction while actively participating in the physical completion of projects.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Driver's License Reliable Transportation Ability to learn new skills Ability to use basic measuring instruments: e.g., tape measure, calipers, and mics. Mechanical abilities are a must. Basic electrical knowledge

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes for faults and damages. Disassemble and inspect components for repair. Measure bearing fits and inspect sealing surfaces. Record findings and suggest steps for repair. Clean and paint components for assembly. Reassemble machinery, ensuring all components are aligned and correct. Perform final testing and quality control. Document all repairs and maintain accurate records. Machining and welding will be required. Other responsibilities as they arise. Some field work will be required.

Some overtime and weekends are required.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$27.00 - $37.00 per hour
