Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, fabricating, and installing mechanical equipment and metal structures. This role combines industrial mechanical maintenance with welding and fabrication to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency across operations. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, equipment, and tools Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems (motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics) Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repair solutions Install, align, and test new or repaired equipment Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Fabricate and repair metal parts, frames, guards, and structural components from drawings or verbal instructions Cut, grind, and shape metal using torches, plasma cutters, and hand tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and safety standards Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and hot work permits Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Comply with OSHA and company safety, quality, and environmental policies Maintain a clean and organized work area Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed Provide technical input for equipment improvements and modifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED or Vocational or technical training in welding or mechanical maintenance Proven experience as an industrial mechanic, welder, or millwright Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Stick); welding certification preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Knowledge of industrial maintenance tools and equipment Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment Preventive maintenance program experience Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or other lifting equipment (certifications a plus) Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance) Ability to work in hot/cold, confined, or noisy environments Good manual dexterity and vision for precision welding Working Conditions Manufacturing or industrial plant environment Exposure to heat/cold, sparks, fumes, and heavy machinery May require overtime, shift work, or on‑call availability

$30.88 per hour
