Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Utility Person to support daily quarry operations. This role is responsible for assisting with maintenance, housekeeping, production support, and general site activities that contribute to a safe and efficient operation. What You'll Be Doing Perform site housekeeping and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized quarry environment. Operate a haul truck to move materials from the pit to the plant in a safe and efficient manner to support production. Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to support operational reliability. Support production activities by moving materials, tools, and supplies as needed. Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures while contributing to team goals. What Are We Looking For Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow established work procedures. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance and quarry operations tasks. Dependable team player with strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
