Maintenance Mechanical Technician (Millwright)Employment Type:
Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician (Millwright) on behalf of one of our clients, a premier global building materials and heavy manufacturing organization. Operating at the cement manufacturing facility in Alpena, MI, you will play a critical role in keeping plant production and service equipment in reliable operating condition. You will work within a safety-first team environment executing mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment operating duties. Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventive mechanical maintenance on heavy plant production and service equipment.Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose mechanical issues, repair machinery, and eliminate product spillage across the facility.Equipment Operation:
Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, skid loaders, teleforkers, chain falls, and come-alongs.Tool Care:
Maintain and care for specialized department tools and maintenance equipment.Safety & Compliance:
Execute all maintenance duties in strict accordance with plant safety procedures, standard work instructions, and environmental policies.Teamwork & Overtime:
Work independently and collaboratively in team settings; perform overtime duties as necessary to maintain continuous plant operations. Candidate QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.Additional Requirements:
Safety & PPE Compliance:
Adhere to all facility safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Candidates must pass qualitative and quantitative respirator fit tests (must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal contacts the face).Development:
