Job Description

Responsibilities:
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
Ammeter, voltmeter, micrometer, calipers, vibration meter, other maintenance tools, meters and gauges, small hand tools and the like, required for the work.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Performs scheduled inspections of some building systems and equipment. Ensures that equipment is in safe an efficient operating condition. Checks for abnormal conditions. Replaces belts, filters, lamps, fuses; resets circuit breakers; lubricates, cleans, paints, labels equipment; and the like. Cleans and/or paints equipment, components and mechanical areas, seals mechanical area floors. Keeps records and makes reports of daily work, emergency/service calls investigated, service rendered and general condition of systems and equipment. Complies with safety regulations of the University and of local, state and federal agencies. Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures that tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. Performs other duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School education, and 1-2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required to observe and follow safe work practices at all times as specified by OSHA or other regulations.
