ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) in Shelby, Ohio produces welded and seamless tubes that serve a variety of markets. We are seeking a Industrial Machine Repair/Millwright to dismantle, inspect, repair, install, maintain, and adjust all mechanical equipment including air and hydraulic/pneumatic systems or machinery within the plant or plant area. - Receive work assignments from Supervisor and perform work with minimal amount of supervision.
- Review plans, sketches, or instructions as necessary.
- Make repairs with minimal interference to production.
- Move machine and equipment so as not to distort machinery being installed or moved.
- Tear units down, diagnose trouble, and make necessary repairs following specifications or blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Change rolls for hot mill.
- Set, level and lag equipment as required.
- Report unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Assist other crafts on any and all work that Millwright has the skill and ability to perform.
Machine Repair/Millwright Must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of journeyman certification in Industrial environment or 5 years of experience in industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, sketches, and plans.
- Experience using various hand tools, wrenches, power hand tools, torches and required equipment to complete task.
- Basic PC skills.
- Candidate must possess the physical ability to frequently lift, climb stairs, stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, kneel and move throughout the plant as needed.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift, scissor and articulating lifts.
- Participate actively in the training of other maintenance personnel.
- Observe all safety regulations.
