Job Description

- We provide replacements for anything broken in use in the facility. ~ PTO
- Skilled trades get 80 hours (prorated based on hire date) for their first two years, and then when they hit the year of their 3rd anniversary PTO increases by 8 hours that year and every year
- Responsibilities
- + Perform cradle-to-grave maintenance on robotic welding equipment, ped welders, manual clinch machines, conveyor systems, and welding cells on 3rd shift (10:00 PM
- 6:30 AM).
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on automation equipment, with approximately 60-70% of work being mechanical and 30-40% electrical.
+ Maintain and repair secondary equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, motors, valves, contactors, motor starters, cylinders, and air cylinders.
+ Troubleshoot and repair industrial robots, including issues with picking items, mobility, bead quality and thickness, and homing or return-to-home problems.
+ Identify and correct weld cell faults, including changing welding tips, replacing sensors, and performing other necessary adjustments and repairs.
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V single-phase and three-phase systems, including setting up and running power to 480V lines.
+ Pull wire, bend conduit, and assist with wiring and layout of control panels as needed for new installations or modifications.
+ Use a volt meter daily to test, verify, and diagnose electrical circuits, components, and systems.
+ Perform MIG welding and fabrication, with occasional stick welding, to repair or modify equipment, structures, and fixtures.
+ Carry out building maintenance tasks to support safe and efficient facility operations.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics to guide troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
+ Work at heights up to 40 feet using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
+ Support continuous operation of automotive stamping and related equipment by responding promptly to maintenance requests and minimizing downtime.
+ Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and production staff to prioritize work, coordinate repairs, and maintain clear communication across shifts.
+ Maintain and properly use personal tools, while utilizing facility-provided replacement tools when items are damaged in use.
