Job Description

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is seeking a Technician for our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, supporting equipment upgrades, documenting work in maintenance systems, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve uptime and product quality. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair packaging and converting equipment to support safe, efficient production Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose root cause and implement effective corrective actions Support equipment setup, changeovers and adjustments to meet production schedules and quality standards Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Asset Management teams to improve equipment reliability and performance Document maintenance work in the computerized maintenance management system and maintain accurate records of repairs and parts usage Follow all Pro Ampac and regulatory safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout, housekeeping and PPE requirements Identify and communicate opportunities for process, safety and sustainability improvements in line with Pro Ampac's culture of innovation Assist with installation, commissioning and optimization of new packaging lines or equipment upgrades Train and support production operators on basic equipment care, operation and minor adjustments Required Skills Mechanical troubleshooting Electrical troubleshooting (low-voltage/controls) Preventive and predictive maintenance Reading mechanical and electrical schematics PLC/HMI exposure (basic diagnostics) Use of hand and power tools Industrial packaging equipment setup and changeover Root cause analysis Basic welding or machining (preferred) Industrial safety and LOTO procedures Equipment calibration and alignment CMMS or maintenance work order systems Basic computer literacy (email, maintenance logs) Communication and teamwork in a production environment
