Structural Welder Location:
Portland, OR Pay:
$35.00+ / hour DOE (Travel Required)
Schedule:
Full-time, 8-10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, weekends as needed

What You'll Do:
Install, align, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors including belt, roller, chain, and screw systems Perform maintenance, structural welding, fabrication, and field repairs on conveyor and related industrial equipment Work extensively with fabricated metal frames, weldments, and custom-built equipment Cut, weld, and fit components for installations, repairs, and field modifications Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and mechanical layouts Diagnose mechanical failures involving bearings, pulleys, shafts, drives, and gearboxes Plan jobs, organize workflow to minimize downtime, and coordinate resources efficiently Lead and manage crews of up to 10 employees in shop and field environments Work independently or oversee installs/startups in both shop and field settings Travel to various job sites as needed Typical start time is 6:00 AM, with occasional overnight and weekend projects What's In It for

Have:
5-10+ years of experience as a millwright, senior industrial mechanic, or related professional Strong structural welding, fitting, fabrication, and repair experience Background in fabrication shops, manufacturing plants, or conveyor-focused operations Experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Comfortable making on-the-fly mechanical and fabrication adjustments in the field Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to pass background check and drug test

Team player with strong communication skills Detail-oriented and efficient Clean driving record Professional attitude and dependable work ethic Ability to work independently and lead teams when needed
Preferred:
Experience leading crews in industrial, shop, or field environments Advanced blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation Extensive conveyor and custom equipment installation experience
