Job Description
•Plumbing Assembly - 4 Day Work Week!
•This role focuses on installing, assembling, and testing plumbing and fire protection systems on specialty fire trucks. You will work with a variety of pipes, fittings, valves, and gauges to ensure reliable water and drainage systems, while meeting production goals and maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Install heat exchangers that are not already installed, including associated valves. Install master drains and ensure proper routing for drainage systems. Install primer controls and verify correct operation. Install manual pump shift mechanisms to support pump operation. Install discharge lines at rear (right and left) and front bumpers. Install bleeder drains to ensure proper system venting and drainage.
Skills & Qualifications :
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used for plumbing and mechanical assembly. Plumbing experience, preferably in fire protection, drainage, or water system installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings. Experience with cutting and threading pipes using cutting tools and threading machines. Ability to bend pipes using a pipe bending machine or by hand to required specifications. Skill in assembling and installing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes. Experience in plumbing for fire protection systems or specialty vehicles. Comfort using a variety of cutting tools, hand tools, and power tools. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
