Below is a description of responsibilities and requirements for this role: Summary/Objective The Utility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting the facility's utilities, infrastructure, equipment, and production support systems. This position performs preventative and corrective maintenance, fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities and Percentages Welding and Fabrication (50%) Perform welding and fabrication repairs on machinery, piping, structural components, platforms, brackets, guards, and other plant equipment. Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and fabrication activities using grinders, drill presses, cutting torches, hoists, jacks, monorails, and hand tools. Uses micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to align, set, adjust, calibrate, or measure clearances, tensions, torques, pressure, and vacuum on utility equipment. Read, interpret, and show a working knowledge of typical drawings such as fabrication, assembly, and process piping drawings. Follow hot-work permit requirements and applicable fire-prevention procedures Utility and Mechanical Maintenance (50%) Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility utility systems and equipment. Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, piping, valves, compressors, ventilation systems, water systems, and other utility equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and utility-related equipment problems. Operate grinders, drill presses, cutting torches, hoists, jacks, monorails, and hand tools. Understanding of basic lubrication principles and applications. Working knowledge of energy controls. Working knowledge of safe/open process & blinding procedures. Operate and maintain various pieces of material handling machinery. Other duties as assigned. In this role, you may be exposed to dust, moving machinery, welding fumes and heat, elevated working areas, confined spaces, outdoor weather conditions, energized systems, noise and moving machinery. Physical Demands Work with chemicals, machinery, electricity, and hot liquids. Sit and stand intermittently for an 8-hour shift.

dexterity to use computer, and phone. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions. Work from ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas when properly trained and authorized. Lift and carry tools and materials. Work in confined or restricted areas when properly trained and authorized. Wear required PPE, including welding protection and respiratory protection where applicable. Work in environments with elevated noise, heat, dust, vibration, and industrial equipment. Expected Hours of Work Scheduled typically working time is Monday -Friday, 6am-2:30pm. Some work overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency call-ins as required by business needs. Travel N/A Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Previous maintenance, mechanical, utility, fabrication, or welding experience. Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and power tools. Ability to read basic technical drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Preferred Experience Technical school, welding certification, or maintenance-related training. 2-5 years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience. Experience with multiple welding processes. Experience maintaining industrial utility systems. Experience in a manufacturing or chemical/industrial environment. Welding certifications appropriate to the facility's requirements.
