Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding repairs in a manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on mills, slitters, and auxiliary equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures on production equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical components including motors, sensors, limit switches, and basic control systems. Perform equipment alignments, adjustments, and component replacements. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders. Diagnose hydraulic leaks and pressure-related issues. Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including air cylinders, regulators, and control valves. Replace electrical components as needed and assist electrical personnel with major electrical repairs. Perform welding repairs on equipment, structural components, and machinery. Fabricate brackets, guards, supports, and other minor equipment modifications. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Work closely with production operators and supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues. Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production adjustments. Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify and prevent potential failures. Accurately document maintenance activities and report abnormal equipment conditions. Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase equipment reliability and production efficiency. Assist with the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas while following 5S standards. Properly maintain tools and maintenance equipment. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Experience as a Maintenance Millwright or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Experience reading mechanical and electrical diagrams is preferred. Welding and fabrication experience required. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
