Position Summary:
The Extrusion Technician is responsible for supporting various production and manufacturing operations as assigned. This role exposes technicians to the Extrusion process quickly to develop the skills needed to assemble, maintain, and disassemble lines while having an established technical aptitude. What Success Looks Like During your first year, you will: Develop and expand technical skill level Work on a 4-person team to assist and perform technical tasks to keep manufacturing lines running Follow all safety and company policies/guidelines (including tobacco-free facilities) Potential focus areas could include: Operating hand tools and power tools Operating extrusion/injection molding equipment, ovens, saws, grinders, etc.
Product support:
cutting, trimming, inspecting, cleaning, repairs & assembly Equipment maintenance - inspection, disassembly, cleaning, repairs, & assembly Facility support - cleaning, repairs, painting, plumbing & construction trade support as needed Painting and coating Operating forklift, tractor, loading and pulling trailer Document production data and report any issues to supervisors. What You'll Bring High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years' working experience in a technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Honest and hardworking. Mechanical aptitude and safety awareness Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights every 3 months). Self-motivated with ability and desire to learn new skills. Schedule:
This position works primarily within climate-controlled industrial buildings but is required to work on some outdoor projects. Will spend most of the day on your feet and working with your hands. The standard work schedule is 12-hour shifts, averaging 42 hours a week, with every other long weekend and holiday off. Day and night shifts are rotated every 3 months. Why Join Drake?
