Salary Range:

$74,297.60 to $85,196.80 The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. The Role The candidate should have 2+ years of blaster experience of the blast process of surface preparation by operating blast equipment used to create a profile on a steel structure which will allow the coating treatment to adhere properly to the metal surfaces. The candidate will be trained in the use, care and safe operation of blast equipment furnished by the company. Candidates should be able to learn and perform safely, blast operations in tanks and voids as well as working heights such as staging, scaffolding and lifting equipment (JLG and scissors lift equipment). Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking qualified blasters, with 2+ years of hands on Blasting work experience.
