At Prodalim we are looking for a Refrigeration Mechanic Operator responsible for monitoring and maintaining the mechanical operations of the refrigeration system in a food manufacturing site. This position is also responisble for complying with all the SH&E, GMP and 5S guidelines. Responsibilities Implement the preventive maintenance and daily operations of the refrigeration system. Strong mechanical abilities and familiarity with ammonia refrigeration compressors and components. Plant rounds, engine rooms check, equipment inspectionsm, and preventive maintenance. Maintain air conditioning units, water treatment condensers throughout the facility, and perform fire system inspections. Knowledge of process safety management and emergency response procedures Minor piping repairs and valve replacement and specification requirements will also be necessary Must be able to understand and follow all GMP, SHE and 5S guidelines Knowledge and Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school and ammonia refrigeration theory preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze production and financial data in manufacturing environment 1 year ammonia refrigeration experience preferred. 24-hour Hazwoper training Machinery rebuild and preventative experience Understanding of manufacturing technologies, GMP, OSHA, HACCP and Food Safety Good interpersonal and communication skills. Basic math skills Working conditions Overnight shift -10 to 40 degree cold room and freezers Hot engine rooms Moderate to high noise levels Climbing ladders and frequent walking Must be able to lift 50 pounds Periodic expousure to low level ammonia concentrations
