GRPB Description:

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to diagnose and repair refrigeration systems in a manufacturing environment. This role handles hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical refrigeration equipment and may also support electrical and assembly repairs as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of projects from start to finish, communicates clearly across departments, and thrives as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and associated controls. Perform brazing, soldering, evacuation, leak detection, and refrigerant charging in accordance with EPA and company standards. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, refrigeration schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Perform electrical repairs on low

•and line-voltage control circuits, contactors, relays, sensors, and wiring harnesses as production needs require. Support mechanical assembly and rework of equipment as production needs require. Take charge of assigned repair and improvement projects — plan the work, coordinate with other departments, and drive them to completion. Document all work, root causes, parts used, and corrective actions accurately and on time. Communicate status, findings, and recommendations clearly to supervisors, engineering, and production. Partner with engineering and production teams to identify recurring failures and recommend design or process improvements. Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Mentor and assist less-experienced technicians as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade certification in HVAC/R preferred. 5+ years of hands-on refrigeration service and repair experience. Proven ability to diagnose refrigeration and electrical faults independently using gauges, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. Expertise in brazing and system evacuation/charging. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate across departments. Self-motivated with a track record of taking initiative and owning projects through completion. Reliable attendance and the flexibility to support occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or equipment-build environment. Familiarity with environmental test chambers, cascade refrigeration, or ultra-low-temperature systems. Experience with PLC

•or controller-based equipment and instrumentation. Basic mechanical assembly or fabrication experience. EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
