This position requires a strong understanding of refrigeration piping, electrical components, controls, and startup procedures while maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, condensing units, evaporators, compressors, and piping. Install refrigeration piping using proper brazing techniques. Pressure test, evacuate, charge, and commission systems. Install electrical wiring and controls related to refrigeration equipment. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and piping schematics. Verify proper system operation and complete startup checklists. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete daily reports, time sheets, and documentation. Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies. Requirements High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of commercial refrigeration installation experience preferred. EPA Section 608 Universal Certification. Valid driver's license. Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems preferred. Experience with CO2, HFC, and HFO refrigerants preferred.
