Commercial Kitchen and Refrigeration Technician

The Commercial Foodservice and Refrigeration Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to and from restaurant sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment, and HVAC units. To be a successful Commercial Foodservice and Refrigeration Technician, you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position, you should have strong technical skills, be a master at trouble shooting and be an expert in customer service. Job Duties Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment. Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations Communicates with restaurant staff regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers. Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies. Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies. Completes service tickets according to procedures. Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tomtreyco standards. Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate. Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety. Skills Training and/or experience for repairing and troubleshooting various types of kitchen equipment, HVAC, Refrigeration and basic electrical and plumbing. Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time. Other Requirements Well groomed, neat appearance Valid driver's license and clean driving record Valid social security number Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
