Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Shipping Team Lead to guide day-to-day operations within our Freezer Logistics team. This role provides hands-on leadership to Freezer Puller team members, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient fulfillment of customer orders in a cold-storage (-10°F) production environment. The Shipping Team Lead splits time between performing pulling/shipping tasks alongside the team and coordinating daily assignments, training, and quality checks. This is an ideal role for a dependable, safetyfocused individual who has demonstrated strong performance as a Freezer Puller and is ready to take on additional responsibility and accountability for team results. Responsibilities Assign and coordinate daily pulling and shipping tasks among Freezer Puller team members based on order volume and staffing Lead by example by pulling frozen meal items accurately using printed order tickets and loading coolers for shipment Monitor team accuracy, productivity, and adherence to safety and food handling standards throughout each shift Conduct quality checks and spot-audits to verify order accuracy and inventory control before shipment Train new Freezer Puller team members on procedures, safety practices, and productivity expectations Work in a -10°F freezer environment for extended periods (PPE provided) Safely lift, move, and stack items weighing 40+ pounds; stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Serve as the first point of contact for equipment issues, order discrepancies, or safety concerns, escalating to supervisors as needed Maintain accurate shift records and communicate handoff notes between shifts Support scheduling coverage and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Provide input to supervisors on team performance, including onboarding progress and coaching needs
