We have offices located in California, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam. As part of the Technical Services Group, the Service Technician is a key member of the organization where he/she will play a vital and active role in supporting the Norman S. Wright Technical Services Group. Additionally, safety and energy systems must be programmed and maintained for optimal whole building performance and efficiency. This is especially critical in laboratories and health care settings which can consume up to 10 times more energy than other building types. Indoor environmental quality also must be a priority in order to achieve positive benefits for workers and patients in terms of health, comfort, and productivity

Roles and Responsibilities:

Initial programming and continued service of HVAC control systems using multiple product lines we represent Troubleshooting mechanical systems and assisting colleagues, partners, and customers with reliable and timely solutions Efficient use of time and comfort working with close attention to deadlines that must be met without exception Ability to complete tasks with an attention to detail that will help ourselves and our partners succeed Consistent communication with team and the ability to work with customers in a fast-paced market to resolve complaints/concerns in a timely, effective, and professional manner The willingness and responsibility to be part of a team with tasks/schedules that are not consistent on a weekly basis Other tasks, responsibilities, and projects as assigned or needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

HVAC and/or mechanical systems knowledge Experience with electronics, basic circuits; a working understanding of low voltage power systems Strong to excellent computer skills; must be very familiar with working a windows-based system as well as Microsoft office suite. Ability to work/learn with multiple software applications at once Ability to work independently, efficiently, and professionally with minimum supervision Valid CA driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle Willingness to travel daily as needed. Jobs are mainly based in the bay area but may be as far south as Fresno, as far North as Redding and anywhere in between

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time This position requires consistent operation of computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine, phone and computer printer This position may require constant moving of hands/fingers This position may require occasional lifting, standing, bending, climbing and stooping May require to climb ladders or utilize a lift to access equipment This position may have tasks included with working in tight/confined spaces Norman S.
