This hands-on role focuses on the service and restoration of diagnostic equipment—particularly phoropters—ensuring they meet factory and industry standards. From preventive maintenance and lens cleaning to complex repair work, you'll play a vital part in keeping eye care professionals equipped with reliable tools.

What You'll Do:

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of ophthalmic instruments. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment with a high degree of precision. Clean lenses and components to ensure optical clarity and performance. Evaluate and test equipment for accuracy against factory standards. Collaborate with leadership to refine repair processes and quality controls. Follow detailed technical instructions and maintain punctual, dependable work habits.

What You Bring:

Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Creative troubleshooting skills and a solutions-oriented mindset. High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance. Comfortable using hand tools and performing tasks that require standing, kneeling, reaching, and fine motor skills.
