POSITION SUMMARY
All American Racers (AAR) prides itself on delivering the highest quality, large
  • and small-scale composite structures for our aerospace, defense, and commercial customers.
AAR has over 50 years of experience from our roots in auto racing through years of supporting aerospace and defense. The key to our success is largely dependent on our dedicated family of hard-working team members with a can-do attitude. We're currently searching for a Service Technician to join our ranks and continue our tradition of success. Service Tech handles a wide variety of tasks involved within manufacturing. Their responsibilities include working alongside engineers to inspect, repair, and modify existing mold designs, tools, and fixtures to aid production manufacturing. The tech will be responsible for upkeeping molds via the Preventative Maintenance protocol to achieve true operational efficiency with a turnkey, comprehensive maintenance solution. The Service tech will enhance the current maintenance strategy and fill processing gaps with a TPM approach. The Service technician will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Director.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
  • Initiate and implement preventative maintenance program for all tooling.
  • Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all work orders.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
  • Assist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance site wide.
  • Accountable for assigned repair work and preventative maintenance within all value streams.
  • Examine tool/piece part drawings and inspect/ audit molds after each preset interval.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a good understanding of power tools and effectively associate equipment required to perform certain repairs.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize daily task list.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with production leads and plan tasks according to production needs.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary per mold repairs.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of composite lamination.
  • Must be able to read prints and interpret drawings.

Reasoning Ability:
Must be able to work under productions schedule and deal with multiple priorities to meet shipment needs. Ability to solve practical problems and apply critical thinking to address issues when not supervised. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. Candidate must be mechanically inclined with a true understanding of equipment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in job shop and lower volume production environments.
  • Must have hands on knowledge of methods, processes, tools, and equipment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Candidate must be mechanically inclined and hands on.
Tooling experience desired.
