Advanced Fire Protection Services continues to grow. Are you ready for a career where you can make an impact? We are looking for motivated and coachable individuals who are interested in getting their foot in the door of the fire safety industry. $17.00- $22.00 hourly
DOE JOB DESCRIPTION
The function of the Sprinkler System Service Technician Level 1 is to aid in the repair, maintenance and renovation of all types of fire protection systems
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Provide assistance with the repairing, maintaining and renovating of all types of fire protection systems Loads and handles materials and equipment Washes and maintains vehicles Assist with equipment inspections Aid with coordinating monitoring companies, fire departments and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarms Assist with report preparation Help with requisitioning materials and equipment Aid in the servicing of systems per manufacturer's maintenance manual, the law, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection Association All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC
HS Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Ability to be insured on company automobile insurance Acceptable background check and drug screen
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic arithmetic Operate the rigid machine (setup/takedown, cutting, threading, grooving, setting dies) Operate scissor lift Operate different types of ladders Basic knowledge/use of hand and power tools Ability to multi-task by cutting pipe and hanger assemblies in a timely manner Ability to learn good installation practices Basic understanding of water based and dry system Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner The ability to communicate in English
