Job Description

Sun State Power LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced electrician who excels at troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems while delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will work independently on service calls, identify electrical issues, provide effective solutions, and ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Common responsibilities for electrical service technicians include troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. Perform service calls, repairs, maintenance, and electrical upgrades. Install, repair, and maintain electrical panels, breakers, lighting systems, receptacles, and branch circuits. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings. Test electrical systems and components to identify root causes of failures. Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and repair options. Complete service reports, material lists, and documentation accurately. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety standards. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional manner. Participate in emergency and after-hours service calls as needed. Identify additional repair and upgrade opportunities for customers. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of electrical service experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience working with electrical panels, lighting systems, branch circuits, and service equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls. Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Journeyman Electrician certification preferred but not required. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, and various jobsite conditions.
