About the
Role:
Are you passionate about technology, hands-on electronics, and helping people solve their tech problems? We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Junior / Entry-Level Computer & Smartphone Repair Technician to join our team! We provide on-the-job repair training! You don't need years of professional shop experience, but you must have strong technical fundamentals, great people skills, a natural drive for customer service/sales, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
What You'll Do:
Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their tech issues, and communicate diagnosis and repair options in clear, non-technical terms. Recommend helpful solutions, upgrades (RAM, SSDs), accessories (screen protectors, cases), and services that best match the customer's needs. Diagnose and repair basic hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops (Windows / Mac), and smartphones (iPhone / Android). Perform common hardware replacements (screens, batteries, charging ports, hard drives, power supplies). Install, configure, and troubleshoot Operating Systems (Windows, macOS), drivers, software, and malware removal. Manage device check-ins, keep customers updated on their repair progress, and ensure a clean, organized workspace. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail and repair workspace (bench organization, sweeping, trash removal, and general shop upkeep).
What We're Looking For:
Excellent Customer Service & Sales Mindset:
Friendly, polite, and confident communicating with clients, explaining value, and recommending the right repair solutions and add-on products.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Resourceful and logical approach to troubleshooting both hardware faults and customer concerns.
Technical Fundamentals:
Familiarity with computer hardware components and smartphone anatomy (hobbyist experience, tech school, self-taught, or basic repair experience is welcome!).
Hands-on Skill & Dexterity:
Comfortable handling small precision tools, delicate electronics, and small screws without rushing.
Basic Software Knowledge:
Understanding of Windows/macOS installations, basic drive formatting, backups, and driver updates.
Reliability & Coachability:
Punctual, honest, and eager to learn both bench repairs and front-counter customer interaction. Nice to Have (Bonus, but not required): Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a repair shop environment. Experience with soldering or micro-soldering. Bilingual (English / Spanish is a strong plus in the Orlando area!). CompTIA A+ or related certifications (in progress or completed).

Pay:
