Service Technician Unadilla - Unadilla, GA 31091 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level Not Specified Travel Percentage None Category Skilled Labor - Trades Apply Description Performs assembly, basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.
Responsibilities:
Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products through established processes and procedures Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership Prepares equipment for delivery to the customer or for demonstration purposes as required Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, and other allied products Maintains condition of tools and equipment Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Assist in the training of technician students and apprentices as required Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time and for all material used through EQUIP in performing assigned duties Understands and ensures adherence to corporate and customer data profiles Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications 1+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment Ability to use Service Advisor, EQUIP and basic computer functions Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Proficient oral and written communication skills Willingness to learn and work hard Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as needed Willingness to be on-call 24/7, as needed Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly Basic Service Technician certification preferred High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred Valid driver's license preferred Fork lift certification preferred
