Job Summary In this position, under limited supervision the Tool Repair Technician will provide required service, repair and return special equipment and molds to ensure efficiency and productivity. Compensation & Benefits 100% Employer Paid Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Competitive Pay 401(k) with Match - Eligible after 1 year of employment Paid Time Off Essential Duties Perform mold repair work on cavities, cores, inserts, slides, etc. Comprehend Tooling Record Tags so correct action is taken to the molds Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage, etc.) Assess damaged molds, choose corrective action and follow through with machining process Proficient use of CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, wire edm., and more. Operate overhead crane Perform precision work to meet tolerances and dimensions Manage the repair of plant equipment Adheres to all OSHA safety policies and regulations Attend and lead daily meetings as needed Additional duties as assigned Qualifications Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a technical school; or at least 5 years of combined experience and/or training in plastic injection mold maintenance, repair and troubleshooting Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Able to quickly learn basic knowledge of the company, products, manufacturing processes, and rules Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data Ability to operate machinery & the use of basic hand tools Mastercam experience is a plus Work Environment & Physical Demands While performing this job employee work involves walking and standing frequently Requires manual dexterity Frequently lift and or move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
