Role:

American Power Equipment Inc is looking for a skilled Service Technician to join their team in Carol Stream, IL! Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair power equipment to manufacturer specifications Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections on small engines and power equipment Accurately document service records, repair orders, and parts used Communicate repair status and recommendations clearly to customers and service advisors Order and manage parts inventory needed for repairs and maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards Stay current with manufacturer training, technical bulletins, and industry updates

Requirements:

Prior experience servicing small engines, outdoor power equipment, or related mechanical systems Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across gas and/or electric-powered equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced shop environment Must provide own basic hand tools; specialty tools provided
