Service Tech Employment Opportunity Job Description Dynamic Heating and Piping is seeking a union HVAC Service Technician to join our service department. We are located in Crestwood, Il and provide HVAC services for commercial, industrial, cleanroom and institutional customers in the Chicago area. Our core projects consist of new construction (both plan/spec and design/build), service projects, maintenance, repair and equipment replacement.

Responsibilities include:

• Repairing, maintaining, startup/commissioning installing and troubleshooting commercial/industrial/institutional HVAC equipment and systems.
• Specific Equipment repair, trouble shooting and installation expertise is required (but not limited to) the following: o Boilers, chillers, pumps, air handling units.

o DDC control systems variable speed controllers. o Ventilation fans, VAV terminal units, IT CRAC systems. o Steam, hot water, chilled water and refrigerant piping systems, o Roof top AHUs, VRF systems and unitary equipment. o Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance for HVAC.

• Professional communication with any/all customer interactions.
• Detailed written documentation in clear simple English as required.
• Solid work ethic and desire to "go the extra mile" when needed.
• Understand scope of work for every project including change orders.
• Manage any subcontractors that are involved on your projects.

Qualifications 10+ years' minimum experience working as a local 597 service technician. Valid Illinois drivers license and satisfactory driving record Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and company employees. Obtain and maintain all registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as typically required for this position. CFC (refrigerant) license for reclaim work. Ability to read maintenance literature, IOMs, and HVAC engineering drawings. Provide detailed service tickets utilizing an iPad goformz system. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills. Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot condition of operating equipment and controls as required. Comply with all applicable codes, standards, company policies and procedures, Comply with all customer and company safety protocols. Maintain clean work area habits at all times. Document any faults, problems, and other possible negative issues (both current and future) in goformz work order system as required. Perform preventive or general maintenance procedures: such as cleaning, power-washing, vacuuming equipment, parts lubrication and changing filters. Assist with other work in coordination with repair and new construction teams. Extensive knowledge in installation, trouble shooting and repair of HVAC systems: Experience and ability to perform pipe fitting activities including: brazing, soldering and pipe threading.
