Position Overview The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner. Key Job Functions Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems. Complete work orders and process parts requests. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate. Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials preferred. CDL preferred. Candidates without a CDL at the time of hire will be helped obtaining one. Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches. Specialty and oversized tools are provided by the company.
