Job Description
Job Summary:
The role will encompass a hands-on approach, working side by side other Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager at our customer's locations to complete routine repairs, corrective repairs, and emergent maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This role requires traveling 4-5 days per week. Alpha Systems has been a leader in manufacturing technology, have set the standard for quality in the industries we serve. Members of this team are responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing installation, preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on pumps equipment. Essential job functions will include :- Visually inspects and tests pumps
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses pumps operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems
- Able to dismantle defective equipment and installing new or repaired parts
- Knowledgeable with lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, replacing seals, pumps, and other parts of equipment
- Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed work
- Must be able to work on your own and/or within a team of maintenance technicians
- Must be able to train customers on proper application and usage of equipment and product
- Knowledge with purchasing parts needed for machinery and equipment
- Provide training that will cover equipment, electrical and mechanical, fabrication
- Bridging communication between Alpha Systems and Customers
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Take phone calls from customers on as needed basis to help with technical issues
