Job Description

KanOkla IT Services is seeking an experienced and skilled IT Services Technician to join our dedicated team. As an IT Services Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support to our diverse clientele, including schools, hospitals, and small businesses in rural Kansas. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Wireless Point-to-Point (P2P): Install and configure P2P systems for both business and residential "Managed Property" clients. This includes mounting outdoor equipment to extend networks from a main residence to detached buildings.
Residential Solutions:
Work with residential customers to identify the best way to improve their home experience, such as installing outdoor mesh extenders to cover patios or metal workshops.
Physical Installations:
Run Ethernet and Fiber Optic cabling in various environments. You must be comfortable climbing ladders and working in elevated workspaces.
Hardware Support:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with computers, IP camera systems, and network devices.
Customer Interaction:
Assist customers with product setup and provide friendly training on how to use their new equipment and services.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate logs of support requests and inventory in our ticketing system.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT services or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.
g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+,
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator) are a plus.
