Open for discussion and occasional work if needed About the Position We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and skilled Chimney Repair Technician / Repair Team Member to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with chimney repairs, masonry, waterproofing, flashing, chimney crowns, liners, and related exterior home repairs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, works safely, and can communicate professionally with homeowners. This position may involve working independently or as part of a repair crew depending on the project. Responsibilities Perform chimney inspections and identify repair needs. Complete chimney masonry repairs, including tuckpointing, repointing, and rebuilding. Repair and replace damaged bricks, mortar joints, blocks, and other masonry. Repair, rebuild, and waterproof chimney crowns. Install and repair chimney flashing and counter-flashing. Perform chimney waterproofing and sealing. Repair and install chimney caps and chase covers. Install, repair, or replace chimney liners when qualified. Repair and rebuild chimney stacks when required. Remove and replace damaged masonry safely. Perform chimney restoration and structural repairs. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other job-related equipment safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements. Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed work when necessary. Take accurate measurements and document completed repairs. Complete work according to company quality standards and project specifications. Qualifications Previous experience in chimney repair, masonry, roofing, construction, or a related trade. Strong knowledge of masonry repair and construction techniques. Experience with brick, block, mortar, concrete, and related materials. Experience with chimney crowns, flashing, waterproofing, and chimney caps. Ability to safely work on ladders, roofs, scaffolding, and elevated work areas. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to read measurements and follow job specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable transportation to job sites. Valid driver's license preferred/required depending on position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and good customer-service skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift materials and equipment and perform physically demanding work. Must be safety-conscious and willing to follow proper job-site procedures.
