The Facilities Management department's functions are to design, construct, maintain, and operate the university's physical facilities. The primary objective is to provide and maintain facilities that will enhance and support the university's mission and academic goals. The primary purpose of this position is to perform work assignments that include custodial duties, assist staff members in performing their duties, and provide support during absences and training. The lead will aid the Building Environmental Services management team on all matters concerning the operational aspects of the Fayetteville State University Housekeeping department. This position also provides on-site leadership to one or more teams of Housekeepers (4-10 employees), which includes: coordinating daily routine and detailed cleaning; monitoring workplace safety and ensuring proper personal protective equipment is utilized. This position will be assigned to the Rudolph Jones Student Center.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency. Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid driver's license. Must have an acceptable driving record, which may require up to five years of driving experience with no more than one minor fault accident or violation in the past three years. The University will review the driver's license and records periodically for compliance.Knowledge skills and abilities:

- Advises staff of specialized cleaning and maintenance techniques and processes for use in unusual situations or problems.
