In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring residential framing structures under warranty. Your expertise will ensure that homeowners receive top-quality service, maintaining the integrity and safety of their homes. Responsibilities Service area includes Raleigh-Durham, Chapel Hill, Greensboro, High point, Graham, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Zebulon, and Garner. Conduct thorough inspections of residential framing systems to identify issues related to wood building erection, wood framing, or other structural components. Perform repairs and restoration work on framing and related structures as specified in warranty claims. Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute precise carpentry, trim carpentry, and framing tasks aligned with construction plans and technical drawings. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately assess repair requirements and measurements. Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment during repairs. Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while handling materials. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to coordinate repair schedules, ensure quality standards are met, and adhere to safety protocols on-site. Document repair processes thoroughly for warranty records and communicate progress effectively with clients and internal teams. Skills Extensive experience in construction site work with a focus on residential framing. experience in other trades is a welcome asset. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, engineered details, and interpreting construction plans accurately. Skilled in wood building erection. Strong knowledge of carpentry including wood frame carpentry and minor demolition. Ability to operate hand tools (hammers, saws), power tools (drills, saws), pneumatic nailers, and other specialized construction machinery safely. Familiarity with blueprint reading combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations on-site. Experience with restoration projects involving siding replacement or repairs as well as general remodeling work would be an asset. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy lifting, PPE, and construction site protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Properly and effectively communicate with project managers, warranty managers, and homeowners. Good manners, caring, and effective communicator.
