Optical Lab Technician — Full-Time & Part-Time Frame Bar | Oceanside, NY Frame Bar is a growing independent optical boutique in Oceanside, NY, and we are looking for an experienced Optical Lab Technician to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced optical environment.
Position Optical Lab Technician Full-Time & Part-Time Available Starting Pay:
$24/hour, based on experience Responsibilities- Perform optical lab work including lens edging, mounting, and finishing
- Verify lenses and completed eyewear for accuracy and quality
- Read and interpret optical prescriptions and lens specifications
- Perform frame adjustments and repairs
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving lab issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab
- Work closely with opticians and the optical team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Provide excellent attention to detail when handling customer eyewear Qualifications
- Previous optical lab experience is required
- Experience with lens edging and finishing preferred
- Strong knowledge of optical lenses, frames, and lab procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Strong communication skills
