This opportunity is well suited for someone with hands-on boiler room and mechanical troubleshooting experience who also enjoys building relationships with customers and driving new business. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact supporting end users across the commercial and industrial steam and hydronic market — helping customers upgrade boilers, burners, pumps, and controls, while identifying opportunities to bring energy-saving solutions and rebate programs into the conversation. It's a role that blends technical service with relationship-driven sales, working closely with a team to maintain a strong brand reputation in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver top-level customer service to commercial and industrial clients in the steam and hydronic space Support end users with equipment upgrades, including boilers, burners, pumps, controls, and ancillary equipment Promote and sell boilers, burners, pumps, controls, and ancillary equipment through regular customer visits Identify and promote energy-saving upgrade opportunities, including local utility rebate programs Maintain brand image and integrity through consistent, high-quality service and support Travel locally to job sites as needed to support customers and drive sales Participate in company-provided education and training to stay current on products and equipment
Qualifications:
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience required 2-5 years of industrial HVAC or boiler room equipment service experience preferred Previous customer service experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to and understand the needs of customers, contractors, and engineers Self-sufficient, positive, and effective working independently and as part of a team Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams; familiarity with engineering troubleshooting methods. Hands-on experience with CMMS software for work order management. Skilled in using testing instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and precision measuring devices. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; relevant certifications preferred. Strong background in HVAC/R systems along with HVAC/R certification is advantageous. Experience with welding techniques including stick welding; ability to perform equipment repairs involving welding processes. Knowledge of industrial electrician practices including high voltage and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics reading, and electrical blueprint interpretation. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication abilities in English. Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
