Service Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Our ideal candidate would be organized, dependable and have a positive attitude. The position will include the service and installation of manual and automatic pedestrian entrance doors. We are looking for someone to join our team and provide excellent customer service.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience involving direct communication with customers. Automatic and manual pedestrian door experience a plus. Maintenance experience a plus. Customer Service experience a plus. High school graduate.

Superior interpersonal and communications skills. Outstanding listening skills and ability to empathize with others. Appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations. Ability to convey a positive attitude in all dealings with others, whether customers or coworkers. Exceptional personal organizational skills. Attention to detail. Possess an excellent driving record. Be TEAM oriented. Have the ability and desire to work unsupervised. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Troubleshooting and repair automatic doors and related equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Service and Installation:

Responsible to perform service and installation on automatic and manual pedestrian doors. Training period is normally 6-12 months depending on experience.

Surveys:

Technician will be trained to be able to assess automatic and manual doors for repairs and/or replacement.

Company Vehicle:

Technician will be provided a company van and is to maintain proper van stock and inventory. The employee is compensated for all travel.

Paperwork:

Responsible for accurate time sheet, service tickets and job completion forms.

Other Duties:

Performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
