Performs general servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of BMW and MINI vehicles.
Utilizes specific BMW and MINI repair procedures, specifications, and equipment.
Generates TSARA and Teile Clearing cases for reporting and resolution documentation.
Provides technical support during BMW and MINI new model launches and events.
Mentors other technicians and assigns work as needed.
Works with Product Engineers from Plant 10 to explore resolutions to problems.
Participates in hazardous materials training and safely handles hazardous materials.
Attends new service training seminars and service roundtables.
Provides technical support for off-site events.
Provides labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services.
Performs quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete.
Completes all required paperwork and documentation for repair services.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Understands and models VPS Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical school or vocational school automotive education (preferred).
5+ years of experience as a BMW Service Technician.
ASE 609 Certification or MCAS required.
Valid Driver's License.
5+ years of skills using computers.
5+ years of ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
5+ years of demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
5+ years of demonstrated knowledge of repairing, servicing, and diagnosing BMW vehicles.
3+ years of knowledge of vehicles and tools, and their uses.
3+ years of ability to apply critical thinking skills and use deductive reasoning.
3+ years proficiency in all BMW service diagnostic tools and equipment.
3+ years proficiency in use of a dealership DMS.
3+ years knowledge of TIS.
