Job Description
Service Wizard is seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to join our family-owned team in Austin. In this field-based role, you will diagnose, repair, and install residential plumbing systems, including fixtures, piping, and water heaters. You'll troubleshoot leaks and clogs, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure code-compliant, high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, clear communication with homeowners, and a commitment to integrity and reliability. You'll work closely with our HVAC professionals, receive ongoing training, and help build long-term customer trust while supporting safe, comfortable homes across the Austin area. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and fixture problems Install and replace water heaters, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures Perform routine maintenance and system inspections for residential customers Explain repair options, estimates, and maintenance recommendations to homeowners Maintain clean, organized work areas and company vehicle Follow all safety, code, and company standards on every job Accurately document work performed, parts used, and customer interactions Collaborate with HVAC teammates to provide integrated home comfort solutions Required Skills Residential plumbing diagnostics Fixture and pipe installation Water heater installation and repair Drain cleaning and clog removal Leak detection and repair Soldering, brazing, and pipefitting Reading blueprints and schematics Use of plumbing power tools and equipment Job safety and OSHA practices Customer service and communication
