Position Details Part-time (20-30 hours per week) Opportunity for 40+ hours during busy seasons and larger remodeling projects Rotating on-call schedule for emergency service calls only (nights, weekends, and holidays) Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include: Painting and drywall repair/texture matching Basic electrical and plumbing repairs Finish carpentry, trim, doors, windows, fencing, decking, and general repairs Kitchen and bathroom remodeling assistance Punch-list, rent-ready, and handyman services Completing multiple residential service calls efficiently each day Communicating professionally with customers, tenants, property managers, and team members Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have 5+ years of residential repair, remodeling, or handyman experience Be skilled in painting, drywall, finish carpentry, and general residential repairs Have a working knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and construction practices Produce high-quality workmanship with exceptional attention to detail Work independently while also contributing to a small team Provide outstanding customer service and represent Octave Renovations professionally Manage time efficiently and complete multiple service calls each day Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer instructions, and work orders Be comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions Safely lift 50-80 pounds Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Have a reliable personal vehicle for travel to job sites Own a basic set of hand tools (power tools are a plus) Have a personal cell phone with a working camera for communication and job documentation Compensation Competitive pay based on experience, demonstrated skills, technical knowledge, and overall qualifications.
