Required Dots Energy is seeking a motivated BESS Field Technician to support the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of battery energy storage systems. This is a hands-on field position supporting utility-scale battery storage projects in California, Arizona, Texas, and across the United States . The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, works safely, and is comfortable troubleshooting equipment in the field. Travel is a required part of this position. Field assignments may range from one day to two weeks and may involve working outdoors at construction and energy-storage sites in rural or remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Assist with maintenance and repair of battery containers, HVAC systems, cabling, controls, and auxiliary equipment. Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Support corrective maintenance and equipment repairs. Assist with system testing and troubleshooting using established procedures. Perform quality-control inspections of equipment and completed work. Follow

OSHA, NFPA

70E, lockout/tagout, PPE, and company safety requirements. Document completed work, equipment conditions, and issues identified in the field. Travel to project sites as required, including out-of-state assignments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous field technician, electrical, mechanical, solar, BESS, or similar experience preferred. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Familiarity with electrical systems, low-voltage systems, hand tools, and test equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and follow technical procedures. Valid driver's license. Reliable personal transportation for local and regional work. Willingness and ability to travel for assignments ranging from one day to two weeks. Willingness to work outdoors in hot, cold, windy, dusty, and other adverse conditions, including active construction sites and rural locations. English proficiency required. Highly Preferred Skills Electrical troubleshooting experience. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) configuration and troubleshooting. IT networking and communications troubleshooting. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience. Spanish language proficiency. Korean language proficiency. Required Certifications

For required out-of-state travel, Dots Energy will cover approved travel expenses and provide per diem in accordance with company policy.
